We were among them and grateful to have natural gas as a backup ensuring we didn’t freeze and could continue to cook. As we get older, reliability and affordability in our energy supply becomes even more important to us, which is why Oregon needs to keep natural gas in its energy equation. Nothing is more reliable. Electrification is not the same as decarbonization, and natural gas and its infrastructure will play a key role in our clean energy future for our children and grandchildren as technologies progress.”
