About Our Partnership

The Partnership for Energy Progress is a collaboration of utilities, farmers, workers, small and large businesses, and community advocates across the Northwest. Our goal is to communicate the work we do to provide reliable, affordable energy to homes and businesses, and highlight the progress we’re making to address climate change.

Natural gas is the cleanest fossil fuel and provides reliable and affordable energy whenever it’s needed. This makes it uniquely capable of reducing carbon emissions while supporting the rapid expansion of wind, solar, renewable natural gas, and tomorrow’s new solutions. Whether it’s a family relying on natural gas for cooking and heating or a farmer using it to guard against frost on a crop, natural gas is a critical part of the energy solution in the Northwest.

We’re committed to continuous improvement. Utilities are bringing more renewable natural gas into their energy mix, which captures organic methane gas from materials like wood, food, and other waste that would otherwise release into the atmosphere and converts it to clean energy source. This technology is being advanced through partnerships with foresters, farmers, and local governments to deliver more renewable natural gas to the Northwest. We are all working together to make a difference.

The Partnership for Energy Progress will play a leadership role in communicating our progress in advancing renewable energy and addressing climate change. Progress has been made, and it’s up to all of us to keep the momentum going.
